The Los Angeles-based Independent Shorts Awards (ISA) announced their winners for May 2020 last night and awarded Calf Rope with its highest honor as Best Film of the Month along with nine other awards. The ISA is an international film festival, with live screenings and a major annual awards event at the Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, CA. With hundreds of submissions from over 30 countries, Calf Rope dominated the May 2020 awards from ISA with the ten wins.
Platinum awards were also declared for Calf Rope for Best Western Short, Best Children Short, Best Child/Youth Actor (Lukas Barnett, in his film debut) Best Editing, (Ryan Geesaman), and
Best Original Score (Ellie Brooke and Bradley Hawkins).
Gold awards were presented to Calf Rope for Best Director - Male (Bradley Hawkins),
Best Cinematography (Sofia Monzerratt),and Best Acting Duo (Gorman Ruggiero and Lukas Barnett) with Ruggiero also winning a Bronze Award as Best Actor as the lovable "Grandad Mac" in our coming-of-age family drama.
