Best Actor Award - NY selects Calf Rope for 5 wins, including Best Ensemble


The bi-monthly film acting competition Best Actor Award - New York announced Calf Rope as the big winner for May & June 2020 with it being the only film to take home five awards during that time period, including the coveted platinum-level award for Best Ensemble. Calf Rope also earned platinum awards for Best Actor in a Historical Film (Gorman Ruggiero) and Best Child Actor

(Lukas Barnett). 10 yr-old Barnett also won a gold level award for Best Acting Debut, and shared a silver level award for Best Acting Duo with Ruggiero, both of whom are included as winners in the Best Ensemble Award along with co-stars Avery Kellington, Jackie Walker, Ryan Cassidy,

and 8 yr-old Logan Donaldson.


According to their website, "The Best Actor Award – New York is an international bi-monthly, IMDb-qualifying competition with annual screening events, celebrating actors from all over the world. Our mission is to recognize talent and passion and to award the best performances in acting of independent cinema." These newest accolades for our cast members brings the film's current awards total to 34 wins and 5 nominations and with it only being on the global film festival circuit for just over a month with wins in L.A., NYC, London, and Rome.
